  • Mike Silva Director of photography Mike Silva approached me late in 2012 needing a new website and identity. When it came to designing a new logo, I wanted to create a clean monogram that would compliment Mike's work without demanding the spotlight. The logo borrows the imagery of the grips on a camera lens to contain the simple monogram.
The fully responsive website uses a similar approach as the logo. It's understated and eloquent design allows Mike's work to be the focus. Check it out yourself at mikesilvafilm.com!

The data visualization was made using Processing, an open source programming language created by Ben Fry and Casey Reas. The data for this visualization was acquired from the Guardian Data Store. The additional content on the page is intended to better contextualize the data visualization, enhancing the comprehension of the user.

  • The Coffee Trike The Coffee Trike logo system was designed while working at under the art direction of Aaron Belyea at Alphabet Arm in the summer of 2012. Founder and owner of the Coffee Trike, Alessandro “San” Bellino is changing the coffee game in Boston by bringing the first espresso tricycle to the States. By combining his love for cycling with his passion for great coffee, he has spawned a truly unique and exciting business. In developing the logo system, I wanted to highlight the timeless modernity of San’s idea. The type treatment is stylish, understated, and references old world typography without being dated. The icon set is clean, direct, and emphasizes the two most important parts of the business. Keep up with San on Twitter @thecoffeetrike to find out when he’ll be pulling espresso in your neighborhood.     2012 Branding, Graphic Design, Print Design

  • Deconstructed: A Girl Talk Info Graphic For this assignment, I was tasked with creating an info graphic that mapped a song by the controversial mash up artist Girl Talk. My solution explores the origins and originality of his song "Hold Up." The aesthetics reflect the music itself; the poster is bold, loud and straight magenta.     2012 Graphic Design, Information Architecture
  • The Farmer and the Snake When assigned to make a motion piece based on an Aesop's Fabel, I instantly knew I wanted to make clay stop motion animation. Having never done this it before, it ended up being quite a learning experience. While the process was a bit more intense than I had anticipated, I was happy to learn a few tricks along the way including keying a green screen, sewing tiny clothes and making armature based clay figures.
